Operating a large modern fleet, we provide 24/7 towing and recovery solutions to private customers, insurers, government departments, and corporate clients.We're a solutions-focused business that invests in technology, training, and continuous improvement — and our dispatch team is the heartbeat of our operation.The RoleThis is not just a call-taking job.You will manage each job from the first phone call through to completion — coordinating drivers, updating customers, solving problems in real time, and ensuring accurate data and billing.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and dispatch jobs in line with customer timeframes and expectationsAllocate trucks based on location, urgency, and availabilityMonitor pickup/delivery times and proactively update customersProvide professional phone support to private, insurance & government clientsAccurate data entry and booking managementPrepare and provide accurate quotesCommunicate with drivers to resolve issues in real timeReconcile and close completed jobs accuratelyIssue invoices to non-account customersDevelop strong working relationships with drivers and key clientsAssist with pricing structures and process improvementsPrepare and manage on-call rostersParticipate in rotating after-hours on-call support (with notice)Support compliance with Quality, Environmental & WHS standardsWhat We're Looking ForExperiencePrevious experience in dispatch, logistics, transport coordination or similarStrong understanding of protected work practicesCurrent driver's licenceSkillsExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)Strong attention to detail & numeracy skillsConfident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to manage competing prioritiesProfessional phone mannerStrong problem-solving abilityAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesExperience with quoting systems or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is highly regarded.Who You AreCalm and decisive in high-pressure situationsOrganised and process-drivenHonest, reliable, and accountableA strong team playerAdaptable and solutions-focusedProfessional in behaviour and communicationCommitted to safety, quality, and customer serviceYou take ownership.
