This is a newly created leadership role, offering the unique opportunity to establish and build a dedicated Taxation and Treasury function while creating the frameworks, controls and processes that will support the next stage of our growth.You'll join us at a particularly exciting time as we continue to invest in our people, our systems and our future, including our upcoming move into a brand-new, beautiful, collaborative workspace in Mulgrave.About the RoleThe Taxation & Treasury Manager will lead GWM Australia's and New Zealand's tax compliance, tax governance, treasury operations, cash management and liquidity planning.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring statutory tax obligations are met, financial tax risks are effectively managed, and leadership has clear visibility over cash flow and treasury performance and planning.As a people leader, you will be responsible for developing and mentoring team members while partnering with senior stakeholders, banks, external advisers and Head Office to strengthen GWM's treasury position and tax governance framework.Key ResponsibilitiesLead taxation compliance activities across Australia and New Zealand,



ensuring all statutory tax obligations applicable to Significant Global Entities/ Multinationals (by ATO/ New Zealand Inland Revenue's definition) are met accurately and on timePrepare GST/BAS, FBT, income tax, and support transfer pricing, withholding tax, Country by Country reporting, Pillar Two and other applicable tax requirements across Australia and New ZealandManage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital initiativesMaintain and develop relationships with banking partners, financial institutions and external tax advisersMonitor and manage foreign exchange exposures and treasury-related risksDevelop and implement tax and treasury policies, manuals, controls and governance frameworksOrganise and manage independent testing or external audit on taxes as per ATO, Current Zealand IRD and HO Tax Department's requirementsSupport ATO and New Zealand Inland Revenue initiated tax reviews or compliance activitiesProvide strategic tax and treasury advice and insights to the Financial Controller and leadership teamLead treasury reporting, cash forecasting and scenario modelling to support business planningSupport annual audits, statutory reporting and tax-effect accounting requirementsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across tax, treasury and cash management processesMentor, coach and develop direct reports to build capability and support career growthPartner with Finance and operational stakeholders to deliver commercially sound outcomesSkills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related disciplineCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualificationSignificant experience in taxation, treasury, financial control or a similar finance leadership roleStrong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand taxation requirements, compliance frameworks and governance practicesExperience managing treasury functions, cash flow forecasting and banking relationshipsDemonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach,
