Tiger Burger is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Hand, Cook, All Rounder to join our team at our West End QLD location.
This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst contributing to our quick-paced kitchen environment.
You will be integral to maintaining our high standards of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and service delivery.
This role is perfect for someone looking to build a career in hospitality or gain valuable culinary experience in a dynamic setting.What you'll be doingPreparing and cooking food items according to Tiger Burger recipes and quality standardsAssisting with food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredientsMaintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including regular cleaning and sanitising of workstations and equipmentOperating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and prep stationsSupporting the kitchen team during busy service periodsMonitoring food stock levels and assisting with stock rotation using FIFO principlesFollowing food safety and hygiene regulations at all timesCommunicating effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serviceAssisting with general kitchen duties as required, including washing dishes and managing wasteWhat we're looking forPrevious experience as a kitchen hand, cook, or in a similar hospitality kitchen role (desirable but not essential)A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practicesThe ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyGood communication and teamwork skills with the ability to take direction and work collaborativelyPhysical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods,
