Job Description
Summary:
The Assistant Baker supports the Baker in preparing a variety of baked goods for customers in the hospitality and tourism industry.
This role involves helping with ingredient preparation, operating baking equipment under supervision, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the bakery, and assisting in producing high-quality baked products in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and portioning ingredients according to recipes and instructions
Support the Baker in producing a range of breads, pastries, and other baked goods
Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely under supervision
Monitor baking times and temperatures as directed
Help decorate and finish baked goods as required
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bakery and workstations
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products to maintain freshness and quality
Assist with stock rotation and keeping
