Continuing to lead the way in diversification and cementing its status within the industry, Atlantic Group Hospitality has an impressive hospitality portfolio spanning the Melbourne CBD and beyond.About the roleWe are seeking a Casual Sous Chef to join the (A) Team at Melbourne Connect, supporting the delivery of an exceptional food offering across café service, catering, and events.This role offers approximately ***** hours per week, with a predominantly Monday to Friday roster, and occasional weekend shifts depending on business requirements and event activity.Key responsibilitiesAssist in the preparation and production of high-quality dishes in line with menu specifications and Atlantic Group standardsCoordinate and supervise kitchen operations during service, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiencySupport the Executive Chef with menu execution, innovation,



and continuous improvementMaintain stock control, monitor ingredient freshness, and manage food storage and prep systemsEnsure compliance with hygiene, HACCP, and food safety standards at all timesTrain, mentor, and support junior kitchen team members to build capability and a positive cultureAbout youYou're passionate about hospitality, proud of your craft, and thrive in a fast-paced workplace while keeping standards high.To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience as a Sous Chef (or strong Junior Sous ready to step up) in a high-volume kitchenTrade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, prep systems, and service executionSolid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace complianceAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising qualityStrong organisational skills, communication, and leadership presenceAvailability for a minimum 35 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends
