This reputable Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionatePractice Nurseto join our team in Werribee, VIC.
This is afull-time positionthat plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our general practice.
As a Practice Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient interactions, providing essential nursing care, health education, and clinical support to patients across a diverse range of ages and health conditions.
This position is integral to the smooth functioning of our medical centre and directly contributes to improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Providing direct patient care including wound management, dressing changes, and infection control protocols
Administering vaccinations and immunisations in accordance with national immunisation schedules both at the clinic and nursing homes .
Taking patient vital signs and recording comprehensive clinical observations
Assisting general practitioners with clinical procedures and examinations
Conducting health screenings and preventive health assessments for patients of all ages
Providing patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
Managing patient flow and ensuring efficient clinic operations
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records and documentation
Ensuring compliance with infection control, health and safety regulations, and privacy legislation
Supporting the delivery of care plans and follow-up procedures

What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse
Current National Police check and Working with children certificate .
Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Experience with IV cannulation to assist with iron infusions
Demonstrated experience working in a general practice .
Strong clinical knowledge and competency in routine nursing procedures and immunisation administration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload in a busy clinical environment
Knowledge of current health and safety regulations, infection control standards, and patient privacy requirements
A caring, patient-centred approach with a commitment to quality healthcare delivery
Team collaboration skills and the ability to work cooperatively with general practitioners and administrative staff
Proficiency with medical practice management software(Best Practice) and electronic health records systems
