We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant / Labourer to join our Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands Remote Maintenance Services team.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, variety and working outdoors.
You'll support our tradespeople across a range of maintenance, repairs and minor project works, helping keep community housing and facilities safe, functional and well maintained.No two days are the same (yeah, yeah, all job ads say that, but it's true!).
One day you may be assisting with air-conditioning maintenance, the next helping complete landscaping works, supporting repairs, operating power tools or assisting a trade crew on a small project.
All the while enjoying one of the most unique regions of Australia, somewhere that 99.9 of the population will never see.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting electricians, plumbers, carpenters and other tradesPerforming general labouring and maintenance tasksAssisting with air-conditioning maintenanceMowing, brush cutting and general grounds maintenanceTree trimming and vegetation managementUnblocking drains and assisting with sewer maintenanceDigging trenches and carrying out excavation by handOperating and maintaining power tools and equipmentLoading, unloading and moving materialsMaintaining a safe and tidy worksiteBuilding positive relationships with residents and stakeholdersWhat You'll BringCurrent Driver's Licence (heavy vehicle licence would be positive but it's not required)White Card (or ability to obtain)Work Safely at Heights certificate (within 2 years)Relevant tickets - the more,
