Wilkes County is seeking an Animal Shelter Attendant / Animal Control Officer to implement procedures for collection, care and disposal of animals, including euthanasia by lethal injection.
The role covers shelter duties and animal control responsibilities with cross-training across both functions.
The position requires independence, a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Weekend work and on-call shifts may be required.
