Firstrate Care Services is looking for Disability Support Workers to join our team in Queensland. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
Location : Ipswich, Logan Reserve, Brisbane
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client wellbeing and community inclusion
Providing emotional support and encouraging client independence and self-determination
Maintaining detailed records and reporting on client progress and any concerns
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
A current Working with Vulnerable People Check is required for this position
Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure coordinated and integrated service delivery
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience in providing disability support or a similar care role
A minimum of 6 months experience in disability support or similar care role is required




A strong understanding of the principles of person-centred care and the ability to tailor your approach to individual client needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or a willingness to work towards obtaining one
A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
Australian work rights are required for this position
