Integrated Dental Health is seeking a
Dental Assistant/Reception
to join our team on a
permanent casual basis
. This is a versatile role based in
Katoomba, NSW
, where you will provide essential support to our dental practice by working flexibly across both clinical and administrative functions. You will be a key member of our team, contributing to the smooth operation of our practice and helping to deliver exceptional patient care and experience.
What you'll be doing
Assisting dentists during clinical procedures and treatments, including instrument passing and patient positioning
Maintaining a clean and sterile surgical environment, including instrument sterilisation and infection control protocols
Recording patient treatment information and updating patient records accurately
Greeting patients and welcoming them into the practice with professionalism and warmth
Managing reception duties, including scheduling appointments and handling phone enquiries
Processing patient payments and managing billing procedures
Providing patients with pre and post-treatment advice and instructions
Stocking and ordering dental supplies and materials as required
Supporting the dentist and wider team to ensure a smooth, organised clinical environment
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a dental reception role is preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
Robust organisational and time management abilities




Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation procedures
Computer literacy and familiarity with dental practice management software (or ability to learn quickly)
A genuine passion for providing quality patient care and support
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work in a casual capacity
Current immunisations or willingness to obtain them as per dental practice requirements
Desirable: certification in dental assisting or reception, or relevant hospitality or customer service experience
