The Role
Working within a highly skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for:
Assembly and overhaul of underground mining equipment
Refurbishment and repair of longwall components
Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Maintaining safety and quality standards
Supporting apprentices and workshop activities as required
About You
Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification or equivalent
Experience in mining, manufacturing, heavy industry or industrial maintenance
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
Full working rights in Australia
Highly Regarded
Longwall or underground mining experience
Forklift Licence
Overhead Crane Ticket
Experience with Roof Supports, AFCs or BSLs
