About the role
You will lead a small group of babies aged 0-2 years, allowing you to build secure, trusting relationships with each child and provide responsive, individualised care. You will have a strong understanding of babies' developmental and emotional needs, including attachment, routines, sleep, nutrition, sensory exploration and early communication.
Key responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operation of the baby room
Create a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environment
Develop meaningful relationships with babies and their families
Plan and document age-appropriate learning experiences
Support each baby's individual routines, interests and development
Guide and collaborate with other educators in the room
Maintain high standards of supervision, hygiene, safety and child protection
Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework and approved learning frameworks
About you
A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent




Demonstrated experience as a Lead Educator working with children aged 0-2 years
A sound understanding of babies' physical, emotional, social and developmental needs
A current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current approved first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications
Relevant and current child protection and child safety training
Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine commitment to providing safe, nurturing and responsive care
