Job Title: Financial Services Recruitment Consultant Location: Sydney Reports to: Director
About the role We’re a specialist recruitment business placing legal, compliance, risk and governance professionals across banking, lending, insurance and wealth. You’ll own the full recruitment cycle, from winning new clients through to placing candidates, in a market where relationships and credibility count.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage client relationships with financial services businesses, including mortgage aggregators, lenders and advisory groups
- Win new business through proactive outreach, market mapping and networking
- Take job briefs, run search campaigns and manage retained and contingent assignments
- Source, screen and interview candidates through networking, LinkedIn and direct approach
- Advise clients and candidates on market trends, remuneration and hiring strategy
- Manage offers, negotiations and resignations through to placement and post-start follow-up
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM and handle personal information in line with privacy obligations
- Meet monthly and quarterly targets for activity, revenue and placements
About you
- 2+ years’ recruitment experience, ideally in financial services, legal, compliance or risk (or a background in the sector)
- A track record of billing and building client relationships
- Robust communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Commercial, resilient and self-motivated, with a high standard of integrity and discretion
- Good understanding of the Australian financial services regulatory landscape (a plus)
