Cleanaway Waste Management transforms waste into resources and renewable energy. When you start to think of waste as a resource, it opens a world of possibilities. Join us and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together!

The Opportunity

Based in Maddington, WA, we are seeking a hands‑on and commercially minded Operations Manager to lead our Parts Washer business across Maddington and Kalgoorlie. Supporting customers in the automotive, manufacturing, engineering and mining sectors, our service includes supplying, installing and routinely servicing industrial parts washing equipment at customer sites. You will lead a small team of approximately six to seven people, coordinate safe and reliable service delivery, strengthen customer relationships and help grow the business across Western Australia. This is primarily a Perth-based role with occasional travel to Kalgoorlie.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading day‑to‑day Parts Washer operations across Maddington and Kalgoorlie, with a visible, hands‑on approach to supporting the team.
- Planning and coordinating equipment delivery, installation, scheduled servicing, workforce activities and resources to meet customer commitments.
- Driving safe transport and service operations, including fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility obligations and relevant equipment and site requirements.
- Coaching and bringing teams together, building an engaged, accountable culture and leading practical improvements to ways of working.
- Monitoring operational performance, service quality, costs and commercial outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Building trusted customer relationships through responsive communication, site visits and consistent service delivery.
- Supporting business growth in Western Australia, including new customer opportunities and the potential expansion of regional services.

About You

You are a practical, customer‑focused operational leader who enjoys being close to the action rather than managing solely from behind a desk. You know how to organise people and service activities, bring teams together through change and turn improvement opportunities into results. Experience in a transport depot, manufacturing plant,

industrial service operation or similar environment would position you well for success.

What you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a small operational or service delivery team.
- Exposure to manufacturing, transport and logistics, engineering or industrial services; direct parts washer experience is not essential.
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage resources, costs and operational performance.
- A solid safety mindset, with an understanding of transport compliance, fatigue management or Chain of Responsibility, or the ability to learn these requirements.
- Customer engagement and communication skills, with a practical approach to resolving service issues.
- Mechanical aptitude, sound planning and scheduling skills, and a track record of improving processes and team culture.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established service operation, shape a positive team culture and play a meaningful role in its next phase of growth across Western Australia.

We are Australia’s largest company in this sector, providing essential services to millions of customers and communities nationally.

As a national, high‑growth, ASX‑listed organisation with more than 10,000 employees, our goal is to be recognised by our customers as the most innovative and sustainable waste management company.
