Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Claims Officer
Finance & Corporate Directorate
About the role
The Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Claims Officer is a new role in the WNSWLHD VMO Claims Support Team, reporting to the VMO Claims Manager.
The VMO Claims Officer provides administration services by checking and processing VMO claims, ensuring these doctors are paid correctly for services in line with policies and procedures. This involves cross checking against medical records, rosters, contracts and other source systems. This role will support and provide guidance to VMOs and their staff on submission of correct claims, as well as liaise with local facility administration teams and managers. They will also support the VMO Claims Manager in implementing improvements to VMO claims processes.
This is a great opportunity for administration staff to specialise in VMO claims management and to be part of the centralisation and standardisation of this key function in WNSW.
