Bakery Retail Store Manager - various locations East Adelaide

Dulwich Bakery is seeking a motivated and experienced food Retail Store Manager to manage the bakery/cafe operations at one of our stores. We have opportunities at one location immediately and various locations that will become available later in the year. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of passionate retail professionals.

Key responsibilities

Manage day-to-day store operations, with a focus on sales and customer service, staff scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling

Achieve sales growth through store and display presentation, and ensure that customer demand is catered for with product mix, sufficient stock, and appropriate level of stock to have the food presentation inviting

Maintain cleanliness and food safety protocols

Oversee the recruiting, training and development of retail staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences

Collaborate with the head office team to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations

Foster a positive and engaging work setting that encourages team collaboration and individual development

About you

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar leadership role within the food retail or consumer products industry

Strong store operational skills with the ability to set and achieve store targets





Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to lead and motivate a team

Solid understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and store presentation best practices

Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Passion for the retail industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
