RM/RN (Dual) - Gladstone Hospital - Maternity / Birth Suite

Gladstone Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join the Maternity and Birth Suite team on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible through to 18 November 2026.

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic maternity workplace where you'll support women and families across the full spectrum of care—from antenatal through to postnatal and birth suite management.

The role includes on-call duties and requires flexibility with shift patterns, including an 8-hour break agreement.

- Comprehensive maternity care across antenatal, postnatal, and birth suite settings
- On-call roster with structured shift breaks and clear expectations
- Contract position through November 2026, based at Gladstone Hospital, Queensland

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience in maternity, antenatal, and postnatal care delivery
- Proven competence in birth suite management and labour support
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification or equivalent
- Ability to work flexibly within a rotating on-call roster
- Strong communication and collaborative practice skills within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Dual qualification (Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse) highly valued
- Post-graduate qualification or specialist experience in midwifery or women's health
