Parks and Gardens Operator (Full time and Casual roles)

- One full-time position at $67,848 to $72,077 per annum plus superannuation, and fortnightly RDO. Additional purchased leave available.
- One casual position at $42.92 to $45.60 per hour plus superannuation.

What you can expect

- Help maintain parks, gardens, reserves, playgrounds, and roadsides across the Shire.
- Plant, prune, and care for trees and gardens to keep public spaces looking their best.
- Carry out routine maintenance and improvement works on community assets.
- Safely operate and maintain plant and equipment, while following safety procedures.
- Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality services and keep accurate records of completed work.

What we’re looking for

- Experience in Council or similar parks and gardens maintenance, along with a relevant Certificate III or one to two years of practical on-the-job training.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate appropriately with staff and members of the public.
- Ability to work as an effective team member aligning to Councils value and behaviours.
- Confidence using work-related paperwork and systems, including safety documents, inspections, and timesheets.
- Full Australian Working Rights, Class C Drivers Licence and,



as needed, the ability to gain a Working with Children Check.
