As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations. You'll play an important role in minimising downtime, identifying mechanical issues and supporting the wider production and maintenance team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on machinery, plant and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Perform repairs, servicing, maintenance and equipment overhauls.
- Identify potential equipment failures and implement effective maintenance solutions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and equipment specifications.
- Assist with machinery installations, modifications and improvements.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise equipment downtime.
- Complete maintenance records and reports accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all WHS procedures and site requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Relevant Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
- Previous experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to commence at short notice.
