We are currently seeking a motivated and safety focused Transport Driver to join our team in Pinkenba - Brisbane. This role is essential in ensuring our equipment is delivered efficiently, safely, and professionally to our valued customers.
Position Overview
The Transport Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and customer focused delivery and collection of Uphire’s fleet of hire equipment using a tilt tray truck. This role also includes maintaining vehicle standards, supporting workshop operations, and representing the company with professionalism at all customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Transport & Customer Service
Deliver and collect plant and equipment using a tilt tray truck
Follow correct loading, securing, and unloading procedures
Provide skilled, courteous service to all customers
Accurately complete all run sheets, delivery paperwork, and checklists
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Conduct daily pre-start checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
Adhere to road regulations, company policies, and fatigue management standards
Operational Support
Collect spare parts and consumables when required
Assist with general workshop tasks and equipment organisation
Contribute to a safe workplace through adherence to WHS procedures
Qualifications & Experience
Experience operating tilt tray trucks
Strong understanding of safe equipment transport and load restraint
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety compliance
EWP licence (Yellow Card)
Experience in the hire, construction, or transport industries
Familiarity with access and materials handling equipment
