Aust Care Environmental Services – Brisbane QLD
Love being in the field, but ready for a role where you shape the work, not just deliver it?
We’re a leading Natural Area Management organisation working across South-East Queensland. Our focus is ecological restoration and sustainable land management, and we take real pride in the outcomes we deliver for our clients, our communities and the setting. We work with a diverse client base including local and state government, utility providers, developers, mining operations and private landholders.
We’re looking for an experienced Ecological Restoration Supervisor to be the face of our projects. In this role, you’ll meet clients on site, provide professional advice and put together quotes that win the work. Then you’ll lead the crews that bring it to life. You’ll be a hands‑on leader with solid plant ID skills, sound commercial sense and a safety‑first mindset.
This is a part‑time role, and we’ll work with the right person to find a schedule that suits both of us. We’re also open to full‑time for the right candidate.
Permanent Part‑Time ([3] days per week, full‑time considered) | Brisbane South

- Be the main point of contact for clients on your projects and build lasting working relationships
- Walk sites with clients to assess conditions and scope works
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals covering labour, materials, plant and timeframes

- Work alongside the Operations Manager on resourcing, project progress and continuous improvement
Field Leadership & Delivery
- Lead field crews in bush regeneration, weed control, revegetation and habitat restoration
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly works to meet project scopes, milestones and KPIs
- Make sure works meet contract specifications and ecological best practice
- Mentor, train and support your crew, including trainees and new starters
What you’ll bring
- At least 3 years’ experience in natural area management or bush regeneration, including time leading a crew
- Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent)
- Experience scoping and quoting natural area or landscape works
- Confidence working with a range of clients, from government and commercial to private landholders
- Sound plant identification skills for SEQ native and weed species
- A strong grasp of ecological restoration principles and best‑practice implementation
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in the field
- Solid working knowledge of WHS requirements (a WHS qualification is a plus)
- Clear written and verbal communication, including quotes and reports
- Comfortable with computers, mobile apps and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Strong time management, problem‑solving and adaptability when site conditions change
- Current Open Driver’s Licence (essential)
Bonus points for
- ACDC Licence
- Chainsaw Level 1 & 2
- First Aid Certificate
- Tender submission experience
- Minor civil landscape construction experience or knowledge (tracks, drainage, erosion management)
- General Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
What’s in it for you
- Part‑time hours with flexibility to balance site work, client meetings and life outside work
- Work vehicle provided
- Tablet/laptop to manage quoting, scheduling and reporting on the go
- A permanent role with an established team that values ecological outcomes as much as commercial ones
- Variety across government, utility, mining, development and private landholder projects
