The role focuses on comprehensive assessments across hospital, home and community settings, using the IAT and SAS framework to identify needs and plan suitable care for older people and carers.

The Clinical Assessor collaborates with health professionals to ensure timely access to funded aged care services, while upholding NSW Health standards and Aboriginal workforce commitments.
