Independent Air Flow Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician to join our growing team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our clients' air flow systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. As a Service Technician, you will be at the forefront of our operations, providing hands‑on technical expertise and building robust relationships with our valued clients across the Sydney region.

What you'll be doing

- Performing routine maintenance, repairs and servicing of air flow systems and related equipment at client locations
- Diagnosing technical faults and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
- Installing and commissioning new air flow systems according to specifications and industry standards
- Conducting system inspections and providing detailed reports on equipment condition and performance
- Responding promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns to minimise client downtime
- Maintaining accurate records of all service work completed, including parts used and labour hours
- Communicating effectively with clients to explain technical issues and recommended solutions
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with team members to share knowledge and support operational efficiency

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar hands‑on technical role within the air flow, HVAC or mechanical services industry
- Strong knowledge of air flow systems, ventilation equipment and associated mechanical components
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues methodically and independently
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment commonly used in the industry




- Valid driver's licence and reliable access to transport for visiting multiple client sites
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work safely and responsibly, with a strong commitment to health and safety practices
- Problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail in all work undertaken
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varied environments, including confined spaces and heights where necessary
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in air flow, HVAC or mechanical services (desirable)
