The Iceman Group of Companies is an Australian wide business, operating for over 40 years, that provides repairs, servicing and breakdown coverage for the Refrigerated and Trailer Transport Industry.
Our Perth Workshop operates in High Wycombe, carries out Trailer Body Repairs and Mechanical and Refrigeration Servicing and Repairs. We are seeking a Workshop Manager to manage the daily operations of both onsite and mobile technicians in our Perth Workshop. This role will be overseeing three divisions: Refrigeration, Trailer Mechanical and Trailer Body Repairs.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of our multi-functional operations.
- Managing the daily operations of the Perth Workshop for the three divisons: Refrigeration, Mechanical and Trailer Body Repair divisions
- Coordinating the team of mobile mechanics around the greater Perth area.
- Working with and directing on call mechanics to attend service and breakdown requirements
- Working with the Divisional Managers in the workshop to coordinate the workflow and job assignments for technicians
- Liaising with our customers on a daily basis to accommodate for any repairs and maintenance, both onsite and with the mobile technicians
- Managing and maintaining the facilities
About You:
You will have a strong transport background with the ability to oversee a medium sized growing workforce within a fast-paced environment.
- A mechanical background
- Strong communication to ensure that clear instructions are delivered to the teams in regards to service requirements and regulatory compliance
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve when an issue or scheduling clash may occur
- Strategic focus on improving the efficiency and planning within the business
- Ability to delivery outstanding customer service
- Knowledge in WHS, HR and IR
