Operator/Yard Hand

We're seeking a motivated and customer-focused Operator/Yard Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our busy scrap metal facility. Whether you have previous yard experience or are looking to take the next step in your career, we'll provide the training and support needed to help you succeed.

What you'll be doing

- Providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Loading and unloading trucks, skip bins and trailers using a forklift.
- Sorting, grading and processing scrap metal materials.
- Assisting with purchasing scrap metal from customers.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment.
- Following all safety and environmental procedures.

What you'll bring

- Experience in a yard, labouring or similar hands-on environment.
- A strong customer focus and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, initiative and a strong work ethic.
- A current Forklift Licence is ideal but not a deal breaker
