Prices Plus is a discount variety retailer, and our Yatala distribution centre looks after the supply chain for all our stores. We’re on the look‑out for a reliable casual storeperson to join our warehouse crew—with the option for it to turn into a permanent position for the right person.
The job
Our warehouse operates Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, and shifts are rostered within those hours. You’ll be working in a small, hands‑on team where no two days are a carbon copy, but generally, you'll be:
- Unloading shipping containers
- Receiving and checking off incoming stock
- Storing stock away accurately
- Picking store orders
- Packing cartons and building pallets ready for dispatch
About you
- You hold a current LF forklift licence (this is a must-have)
- You're physically fit and don't mind heavy lifting, carrying, and container unloading
- You take safety seriously following procedures, wearing your PPE, and speaking up if something isn't right
- You have a keen eye for detail because our stores rely on getting exactly what they ordered
- You’re reliable, punctual,
and show up when you're supposed to
- You have decent reading, writing, and math skills
- You're comfortable using a computer and handheld RF scanners
What’s in it for you?
- Consistent Monday to Friday casual hours—no weekends!
- A genuine shot at a permanent position down the track
- A friendly, down‑to‑earth team that looks out for each other and puts safety first
Pre-employment checks will be tailored to the specific requirements of each role and may include, but are not limited to, medical assessments, drug and alcohol screening, and police background checks. The nature and extent of these checks will be determined based on the responsibilities and demands of the position and discuss in the next recruitment steps.
