Explicit Software is looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team as an Accounting Software Support Specialist.

This is an opportunity to combine your bookkeeping or accounting experience with technology, customer service and problem-solving.

Previous software support experience would be handy but not necessary. We provide internal training and ongoing support. We're looking for someone with the right accounting knowledge, a positive attitude, and a genuine willingness to learn.

About the role

You'll be helping our customers get the most out of our accounting software by answering questions, investigating issues, and guiding users through the software's features and processes.

You'll work closely with customers to resolve enquiries, provide practical solutions, and help users feel confident using our products.

You'll also work alongside our internal team to investigate more complex issues and contribute to improving our software and customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing prompt, friendly and effective customer support via phone and email.

Troubleshooting software issues and helping customers find solutions.

Guiding customers through software features and accounting processes.





Assisting with the customer onboarding and software training.

Maintaining accurate records of customer enquiries and resolutions.

Working with internal teams to elevate and resolve complex issues.

Updating help documentation and knowledge base articles.

Testing software updates and new features, and reporting any issues identified.

What we're looking for

You don't need to be an IT expert to succeed in this role. Your accounting knowledge, communication skills, and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Bookkeeping or accounting experience:

A sound understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles is essential.

Customer service skills:

You enjoy helping people and are committed to providing a positive customer experience.

Problem-solving ability:

You can investigate issues, think logically and work towards practical solutions.

Excellent communication:

You can explain information clearly and patiently, both verbally and in writing.

Attention to detail:

You value accuracy and take pride in maintaining thorough records.

Computer literacy:

You are comfortable using Microsoft Windows and general software applications.

A willingness to learn:

You are proactive in building your knowledge,



researching solutions and adapting to new technology.

Organisation:

You can manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute to a team.

Training skills:

You can explain processes step by step and help others feel confident using software.

Skills that would be an advantage

Previous experience in software support or a help desk workplace.

Familiarity with remote access tools used to assist customers.
