About us

Compounded is a specialist compounding pharmacy in Alexandria. We prepare personalised medicines for patients across Australia, working closely with GPs, specialists, veterinarians and our own Pain & Sport Medicine Department. We’re a small, close-knit team, and we’re looking for a technician who wants to learn both sides of pharmacy: the lab and the dispensary.

A role with real variety

No two days are the same. You’ll split your time between our compounding lab and the dispensary, building skills that most pharmacy technicians never get the chance to learn.

In the lab

- Compound creams, capsules, troches, suspensions and more for human and veterinary patients, under pharmacist supervision
- Help formulate prescriptions and prepare worksheets
- Follow quality control, documentation and safety procedures
- Maintain and clean compounding equipment

In the dispensary

- Assist pharmacists with dispensing and processing prescriptions
- Be the first point of contact for patients,



prescribers and vet clinics by phone and email
- Take payments, process orders and prepare deliveries Australia-wide
- Manage stock, reorder supplies and handle invoicing

What we’re looking for

- Strong attention to detail. Accuracy is everything in what we do.
- Clear, confident communication in English
- Able to switch between tasks and prioritise when it’s busy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer service experience
- A genuine interest in learning
- Pharmacy, dispensary or compounding experience is a plus but not essential. Full training is provided in both areas.
