Job Description

Our kitchen team is currently looking for a hands on, passionate chef to step into the Sous Chef leadership role. You will genuinely love to cook, and you want to share your passion for the craft with your team. You enjoy giving guests an amazing experience and lead the team to do the same.

- Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
- Support menu planning and ensure adequate stock levels to meet service demands.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, quality, hygiene, and safety in line with regulations.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory to minimise wastage and optimise cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with Restaurant and Conference teams to deliver seamless dining and event experiences.
- Supervise food preparation, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards.
- Monitor performance, contribute to reporting, and support team appraisals and development.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of similar experience in the hotel industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Computer literate with administrative skills.
- A strong understanding of food cost and control.
- Knowledge of food safety requirements

Salary

Salary Range: $70,108.37 to $85,000 + Super
