CUPCKE Apparel
Noosa Heads
CUPCKE Apparel designs custom performance apparel for triathlon clubs, cycling teams, run crews and events across Australia and the United States. We grew out of The Cupcake Cartel, one of the largest triathlon communities in the country, and our clients choose us because we are athletes making kit for athletes. They expect it to look exceptional and perform on race day, and it does.
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to lead our growth. This is a new role, created because the business has outgrown what the founders can sell on their own. You will be the person who takes CUPCKE to clubs and teams that have not heard of us yet, builds the relationship from first conversation to signed order, and keeps our name in front of the people who make kit decisions.
This is a role for someone who sells with conviction. You will believe in the product because it is worth believing in, and you will bring that energy to every club president, coach and committee you speak to. The clients you win will become relationships you hold for years, because clubs that love their kit come back every season.
The role starts at four days a week in our Noosaville office, with a three month probationary period and clear targets. Once the pipeline is established, the role moves to full time and you take ownership of it.
What you will do
- Shape our sales and marketing strategy alongside the founders, from which markets and club types to target through to how we position the brand and what we say
- Identify and research triathlon, cycling, running clubs, coaching groups and events across Australia and the US, and build a structured target list
- Lead outbound engagement by email, phone, social media and in person, presenting our custom program with confidence and clarity
- Build genuine relationships with club leaders and decision makers, understand what matters to them,
and guide them from first conversation to quote and confirmed order
- Hand confirmed orders to our account manager and stay close to the client so the relationship continues beyond the first order
- Nurture our existing clubs and teams, staying in touch with the people who make kit decisions, understanding their season and bringing them back for the next order before a competitor gets the chance
- Own the CRM, so every opportunity has a next step, an owner and a date
- Report weekly on outreach, conversations, quotes and wins
- Plan and deliver email campaigns in Klaviyo to clubs, past clients and our community
- Create and schedule social content that shows clubs and athletes in their custom kit
- Turn finished club projects into case studies and testimonials that strengthen every future pitch
- Keep the custom program pages and sales collateral sharp and current
Who we are looking for
- You are a self-starter who is energised by new conversations and does not wait to be handed leads. You are persuasive because you listen, you understand what a club needs, and you can show them how we deliver it. You take ownership of outcomes, you follow through, and you are comfortable being measured on results.
- At least four years in roles where you brought in new business, across B2B or B2C sales, business development or account management
- A track record you can talk about with specifics: targets hit, accounts won, pipeline you built from nothing
- Transparent,
persuasive written communication. Most outreach starts as an email or a message, and yours get replies
- Confidence and presence on the phone, on video and in person
- The organisation to run a pipeline of live conversations without losing track of any
- Hands‑on experience running email marketing and social media for a business
- Availability for occasional early morning or evening hours to connect with US clients
- Based on the Sunshine Coast and able to work from our Noosaville office. This is not a remote role
- An understanding of triathlon, cycling or running will help you connect with our clients immediately. Experience selling apparel, uniforms or into sporting clubs, and familiarity with Klaviyo, Canva, monday.com or Shopify, are all advantages.
What we offer
- Four days a week to start, permanent part time, moving to full time once the pipeline is established
- A clear path to full time within the first year, on a base of $80,000 to $90,000 with performance incentives agreed as the role grows
- A three month probationary period with clear targets, so you always know where you stand
- A seat at the table. You will help set the direction, not just execute it
- A product you can be proud to sell, a founder-run team that moves fast, and a client base that lives and breathes the sports we make kit for
- Start date late November 2026, flexible for the right person
