About the Role

As Venue Manager of The Unley, you’ll have overall responsibility for the venue, its people, performance and guest experience.

You’ll lead from the floor, develop your management team and create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and guests want to keep coming back. Just as importantly, you’ll have the autonomy to influence the venue’s direction while being supported by the broader Piermount team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the day-to-day operations and overall performance of The Unley
- Recruit, lead, coach and develop a high-performing management and venue team
- Drive robust commercial performance across revenue, labour, COGS and profitability
- Maintain a consistently high standard of guest experience and hospitality
- Identify and implement opportunities to grow trade and strengthen venue performance
- Maintain high standards across presentation, compliance, safety and responsible service
- Build a positive, accountable team culture where people are supported to perform and develop




- Work closely with the broader Piermount team and contribute to the continued success and growth of the group

About You

You’re a confident hospitality leader who understands that running a great venue is about more than the numbers. You know your people, you’re visible to your guests and team, and you take genuine ownership of the business.

You’ll bring strong operational experience and commercial thinking, but equally important is your ability to lead people, build culture and recognise opportunities.

We’re looking for someone with:

- Proven management experience within a busy pub, hotel or comparable hospitality workplace
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Sound commercial understanding across revenue, labour, COGS, budgeting and venue profitability
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the floor
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Solid communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to make decisions, take ownership and drive improvements
- Ambition to continue developing your own career as Piermount grows
