We have a Legal Assistant/Paralegal position available in our small-medium legal office.
We handle transactional and litigation matters in a practise areas focussing on property and commercial matters, taking in property law, general commercial work, wills and estates and selected family law matters.
We do not handle personal injury orcriminal matters.
Our firm makes full use of Leap in the Cloud, Office 365 andAdobe Acrobat. Experience makingefficient and effective use of these software packages is a significant advantage, willingness and ability to learn to make use of these packages is essential.
This is NOT a law graduate position or a "beginner" position.
Prior experience as a legal assistant/paralegal is ESSENTIAL.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- It is essential for you to have recent and relevant experience in a legal office in a similar position.
- Clear written communication skills with ability to spell and use punctuation correctly.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work is essential.
- Understanding the requirements of working in a professional office workplace including appropriate manner, attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- High standards of personal presentation.
- Solid competence with use of computers, technology devices and Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with Leap and PEXA.
- Punctuality and reliability with attendance at work.
- Confident and efficient telephone and reception skills.
This is a full time position. Work hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5:00pm, with a one hour lunch break each day from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Overtime is rarely, if ever required.
The position is available for an immediate start.
