Package: $32.67 per hour + 12% Super(Grade 4 of the SMRC Salary System 2026-2027)

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, professional and helpful customer service to members of the public, contractors and commercial customers visiting Council's waste facilities
- Assist customers with waste disposal enquiries and direct them to the appropriate areas within the facility
- Facilitate accurate screening and sorting of incoming waste to minimise landfill use
- Follow work instructions and work cooperatively with supervisors and team members
- Complete weighbridge transactions, timesheets and other basic records accurately
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety activities
- Follow Council's safety procedures and work safely at all times

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide range of people




- Robust communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to remain calm and courteous when dealing with difficult situations or customers
- Basic computer skills and confidence using systems to complete transactions and records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness to undertake the requirements of the role
- NSW White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Current First Aiding Certificate or willingness to obtain
