About the Role:

Reporting to the Business Manager based in Mackay, this role supports our Central Queensland operations, and may be required to travel throughout the Bowen Basin to meet operational demands. As aFleet Controller/Allocator at BOOM, you will play a key role in coordinating customer bookings, allocating equipment and personnel, and ensuring jobs are delivered safely. Working closely with customers, operations and maintenance, you will help maximise fleet utilisation, maintain service standards and keep daily operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain detailed resource schedules, ensuring that all equipment and personnel are deployed efficiently.
- Work closely with the operations and project management teams to understand resource needs and ensure optimal utilisation.
- Monitor resource availability, track equipment usage,



and manage changes to the schedule as required.
- Communicate effectively with field teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of resources and schedules.
- Ensure all resource allocation complies with safety regulations, operational standards, and customer requirements.
- Assist in forecasting resource requirements and identifying potential issues or bottlenecks in resource availability.
- Provide support to operations by managing resource shortages, reallocating resources, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain accurate records of resource allocations and usage to ensure efficient tracking and reporting.

What you'll need to succeed:

- Previous experience in fleet allocation, scheduling, crane operations, plant hire, transport or a similar operational workplace.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, operators and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing resource schedules and allocations.




- Proficiency in using computer software and systems, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience using scheduling, ERP, or allocation systems (experience with VisD or similar is advantageous).
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to escalot operational issues when required.
- A solid commitment to safety, compliance and following established procedures.
- The ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the effective operation of the depot.
