About the role

Mesh & Bar is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our operations in Salisbury South on Afternoon Shift. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily team activities, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality across all operations. This role is integral to the success of our business and offers the chance to make a tangible impact on our team's performance and workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of your team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard

Hands on role, running machinery and loading while leading the afternoon shift team

Monitor productivity levels and work towards achieving or exceeding established targets and deadlines

Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and compliance, ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and relevant regulations

Provide coaching, guidance and support to team members to help develop their skills and capabilities

Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities for your team

Maintain accurate records and reports relating to team performance, attendance and safety incidents

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing, logistics or a related operational setting

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate expectations clearly





Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to manufacturing and logistics operations

Proficiency in using relevant systems and software for tracking productivity, attendance and safety metrics

Problem-solving ability with a pragmatic approach to resolving operational challenges

Physical capability to work in an industrial environment and stand for extended periods

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing operational requirements

A commitment to continuous improvement and driving operational excellence

Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent experience is highly valued
