Are you a recruiter who loves building relationships, getting close to the business and making a genuine impact in regional communities?

This is a broad and wide-ranging recruitment role supporting our regional Queensland offices across Transport. Energy, Industrial (Resources), Water, Environment & Land and Buildings. You'll recruit across a diverse mix of engineering and professional disciplines, partnering closely with local leaders to help build the capability our growing regional teams need.

Importantly, you'll also play a key role in developing our regional early careers pipeline, supporting Graduate and Intern recruitment and building strong relationships with local universities and emerging talent.

About the Role

As a trusted talent partner to our regional teams, you will:

Lead end-to-end recruitment across Transport, Industrial (Resources), Water, Environment & Land and Buildings

Recruit across a broad range of engineering, technical and professional disciplines, from early career through to experienced hires

Partner closely with local leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop practical, targeted recruitment strategies

Proactively source and engage talent within regional Queensland and broader national markets

Support Graduate and Intern recruitment, helping identify and attract the next generation of regional talent

Build relationships with local universities, students and relevant industry networks

Represent Aurecon at career fairs, university events and other regional talent initiatives

Provide market insights and recruitment advice to help leaders navigate challenging or talent-short markets

Use recruitment systems, technology, data and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and candidate experience

Support consistent recruitment processes, governance and best practice across our regional offices

While primarily based in Gladstone or Townsville, some regional travel may be required from time to time to connect with our people, universities and communities across Queensland.

About You

We're looking for a recruiter who enjoys variety, autonomy and being genuinely connected to the business.

You'll ideally bring:

Strong recruitment experience gained within an in-house, agency or combined environment

Experience recruiting professional, technical or engineering talent

Confidence managing a broad portfolio of roles across different disciplines and levels

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with local and senior leaders

A proactive sourcing mindset and confidence approaching passive talent

An interest in Graduate,

Intern and early careers recruitment

Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills

Experience using recruitment systems and ATS platforms, with Workday experience highly regarded

Confidence using emerging technology, AI-enabled tools and data insights to support smarter recruitment

An agile, solutions-focused approach and the ability to adapt as regional hiring priorities change

Experience recruiting within engineering, infrastructure, transport, resources, water, environment or buildings would be highly regarded.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of talent acquisition across regional Queensland.

You'll:

Be based locally in Gladstone or Townsville (may consider Mackay or Cairns)

Work across a genuinely diverse portfolio of engineering disciplines and career levels

Build strong relationships with regional leaders and become a trusted partner to our local offices

Help strengthen Aurecon's Graduate and Intern pipeline in regional Queensland

Develop relationships with universities and emerging talent within your local market

Join a collaborative Queensland Talent Acquisition team while having the autonomy to shape how we attract talent regionally

Play an important role in supporting the continued growth and capability of our regional businesses

If you're an experienced recruiter who enjoys building relationships, getting out into the market and connecting great people with great opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.

Engineering possibilities, the Aurecon Way.
