About the role
You will be involved in a broad range of matters, including:
- Dust diseases litigation, including asbestos and silicosis claims
- Complex public liability and personal injury disputes
- Workers' compensation and workplace-related claims
- Insurance indemnity and policy interpretation matters
- Advising on liability, causation and complex medical evidence
- Acting for clients across construction, manufacturing, transport, resources and government sectors
The ideal candidate
- Admitted lawyer (2 – 5 years PQE)
with experience in defendant insurance litigation, workers’ compensation or dust diseases
- Demonstrated ability to manage matters with increasing independence and confidently engage with clients
- Strong drafting, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced practice with a significant volume of active matters
- A commercial approach and strong attention to detail
- An interest in developing specialist expertise within insurance litigation
