An established national construction company is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to work as a Pre-Construction Manager in its Adelaide office. Working across major commercial and industrial projects, this senior role will take the lead across bid management, pre-construction strategy, including programming and methodology and the transition of projects from tender through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Lead pre-construction and bid strategies for recent projects
- Manage tenders from initial review through submission, negotiation and award
- Develop construction methodologies, programs and procurement strategies
- Identify value management, buildability and commercial opportunities
- Review designs, tender documentation and Head Contract requirements
- Manage project risks, opportunities, qualifications and clarifications
- Coordinate Estimating, Design, Services and Construction teams
- Attend client meetings, tender presentations and negotiations




- Manage tender handovers and transition projects into construction
- Build relationships with clients, developers and consultants

About you

- Strong experience with a commercial or industrial head contractor and detailed understanding of the pre-construction process
- Experience across D&C;, ECI, Hard Dollar and/or GMP projects
- Strong knowledge of design management, programming, procurement and commercial construction
- Commercially astute and confident dealing with clients
- Capable of leading complex bids and pre-construction activities
