Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. The technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for commercial and residential sites, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting, completing preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, and documenting work performed.

The role involves interacting with clients on-site, explaining findings and recommendations clearly, and supporting high levels of customer satisfaction.



The technician will work closely with the wider mechanical services team to coordinate schedules, adhere to safety procedures, and maintain quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications

- Strong maintenance and repair capabilities, including experience with HVAC maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance practices.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving strengths, including effective troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Commitment to client service and safety, including focus on customer satisfaction and adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Relevant certifications or licenses, such as trade qualification in HVAC/Refrigeration, EPA or equivalent refrigerant handling accreditation, and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications, and to complete clear service reports and documentation.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and basic electrical concepts, with experience in commercial or industrial environments preferred.
- Reliability in on-site work, including willingness to travel within Sydney and surrounding areas, and availability for occasional after-hours or emergency call-outs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with other technicians and project teams.
