The business owns and operates over 1,423 hectares of wine grape vineyards in this region, as well as a large-scale winery. The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Accountant to join our team onsite at our Buronga winery.

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports and providing valuable insights through monthly variance analysis and board commentary. As the first point of contact for finance queries, you will also oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and month-end processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Day to Day Tasks

- Prepare monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, variance reports, board reports, and other required financial reports;
- Prepare and analyse management income and expenditure reports;
- Prepare annual budgets and ongoing forecasts;




- Manage cash flow and tax compliance, including liaison with external accounting firms;
- Lead the development and management of financial policies and procedure;
- Prepare accurate external market reporting in collaboration with Duxton Capital Australia;
- Coordinate external audit processes, ensuring timely provision of information and professional interactions with auditors;
- Work closely with the Finance/Administration Officer to oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end tasks;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters; and
- Perform other duties as directed by the Group Operations Manager.

About You

- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field;
- CA/CPA qualified, working towards, or equivalent experience (minimum 2+ years);
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting;
- Proficiency in tax, audit, and financial compliance practices;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and EzyWine experience advantageous;
- Robust organisational and business partnering skills, with the ability to provide clear financial advice; and
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in a changing environment.
