About the role

Atlas Fuel Australia is seeking an experienced, hands on Company Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, strengthen reporting and support day to day operations. This opportunity suits someone who takes ownership, investigates discrepancies and turns financial information into clear insights for management.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and intercompany balances
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including payment preparation and overdue account follow up
- Prepare BAS/GST workings and coordinate with external tax advisers
- Process or review payroll, superannuation and related reconciliations
- Reconcile fuel purchases, sales and inventory with the operations team, investigating stock and margin variances
- Monitor profitability across service stations, wholesale customers and transport operations
- Maintain fixed asset registers,



depreciation schedules and loan reconciliations
- Support budgets, cash flow forecasts, year end accounts and audits
- Improve accounting processes, financial controls and reporting accuracy

About you

- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. CPA / CA / Masters in Accounting qualification, or progress towards completion, preferred
- At least 3 years' relevant accounting experience
- Sound knowledge of Australian accounting requirements, GST, BAS and payroll processes
- Robust Excel, Myob, Xero skills and experience using accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Confidence working with management, suppliers and operational teams
