About the Role
Vaughan Constructions is looking for a part-time Accounts Payable Team Leader - 12 Month Contract to run the AP function and keep payments accurate and on time. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll lead a small team of AP Officers and stay hands-on with the day-to-day.
What you'll do
- Lead, allocate work to and review the performance of AP Officers
- Match invoices to site instructions and orders, check them in Lentune and send them to Jobpac for approval
- Chase sign-offs so payment terms are met
- Review subcontractor and consultant claims before payment
- Prepare EFT batches for weekly and monthly payment runs
- Verify new bank details by phone
- Be the go-to for creditor queries and resolve issues quickly
- Reconcile creditor statements at month end and follow up discrepancies
- Keep ABN, GST and insurance details compliant
- Prepare final release letters for subcontractors
- Set up new creditors in Jobpac
- Escalate issues to the Financial Controller where needed
About you
- 5+ years in accounts payable
- Proven experience managing a team
- Construction industry experience (highly regarded)
- Jobpac and Lentune experience (highly regarded)
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
- Solid communicator who works well across departments
- Self-motivated, organised and good at prioritising
- A hands-on leader who builds a great team culture
