Bidfood Botany is looking for an organised and adaptable individual to join our team as an Administration Assistant at our Banksmeadow branch.
This role suits someone who enjoys working with systems, has strong attention to detail and thrives in a fast-moving setting where every day looks a little different. It’s a outstanding opportunity to begin your career after school, return to the workforce, or transition from hospitality or retail into a professional admin role with a national business that offers support and room to grow.
And if you love food? Even better. You’ll be surrounded by it, with opportunities to sample delicious new products, discover the latest food trends and be part of the behind-the-scenes action that supports Australia’s top chefs and venues.
With daytime hours and a team that values work-life balance, this is a role where you can build a meaningful career and still have time for family, friends and the things you love.
About the role
As an Administration Assistant, you’ll support both the local branch and national support services by handling a range of admin and coordination tasks. You’ll work closely with Sales and Branch Managers, helping to onboard new customers, coordinate logistics timetables and respond to day-to-day requests.
Your role also involves reporting, data entry and keeping internal systems up-to-date – making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Onboarding new customers and supporting account set up
- Performing administrative tasks as directed by Sales and Branch Managers
- Coordinating logistics timetables and delivery updates
- Assisting with internal reporting and maintaining data accuracy
- Liaising with internal teams across departments and business units
- Supporting ad hoc projects and national support service requests
- Maintaining accurate records and managing system data
About you
You’re someone who gets a buzz from ticking off tasks and keeping things on track. You’re flexible, fast on your feet, and not afraid to dive into new systems or responsibilities. You enjoy supporting others, have a qualified attitude and take pride in doing a job well. This role is ideal if you're:
- Looking to begin a fulfilling career with a well-established employer
- Returning to the workforce after time away
- Transitioning from hospitality, retail or customer service
- Seeking a daytime role with stability and lifestyle balance
Skills and experience To succeed in this role, you’ll need a mix of technical confidence, clear communication and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Comfortable working across a range of computer systems (full training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communicator who works well with people at all levels
- Experience in admin, hospitality,
retail or customer service (advantageous but not essential)
