NightOwl is an Australian owned and operated franchise network who has built a solid reputation in the retail sector for over 50 years. Today we boast over 80 stores, consisting of a combination of traditional convenience and convenience petroleum.

As an Area Manager, you'll play a key role within the Operations team, overseeing a portfolio of approximately 12-15 franchisee and company-operated stores across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

You'll be responsible for driving performance across our 3 S's (Standards, Stock and Sales), while coaching and supporting franchisees and store teams. Working closely with fellow Area Managers and the wider Operations team, you'll help deliver strong commercial outcomes, maintain operational consistency, and support the continued growth of the NightOwl network.

We are open to applicants based anywhere across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Store territories may be aligned to the successful candidate's location and the broader team structure, where operational requirements allow. Some local travel will be required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

- Coach, mentor and support franchisees and store teams to drive performance across Standards, Stock and Sales.

- Identify and leverage category and departmental growth opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.

- Implement strategies to achieve KPIs and operational objectives.

- Lead by example and drive compliance and consistency across the store network.

- Plan and conduct regular store visits within the assigned territory.

- Support solid customer experiences by maintaining high merchandising and presentation standards.

- Build positive and productive relationships with franchisees,



store teams and key stakeholders.

- Contribute to operational initiatives, business improvements and network growth opportunities.

What You'll Bring

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail management.

- Experience within convenience, petroleum, grocery or a similar fast-paced retail environment (highly regarded).

- Multi-site management experience (highly regarded).

- A hands-on approach and willingness to support stores at an operational level.

- Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

- Robust attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

- Confidence working with data and reporting to drive performance improvements.

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
