We currently have Assistant Manager opportunities across our venues, including Settlers Inn, Tacking Point Tavern, Fernhill Tavern, Lake Cathie Tavern, Hastings Hotel and Beechwood Hotel.

About the role

Working alongside your Venue Manager, you’ll help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, support your team and make sure every guest receives a warm welcome.

You’ll lead from the front, roll up your sleeves when it gets busy and bring a positive, practical approach to every shift.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading shifts and supporting, coaching and developing team members.

- Delivering friendly, efficient service and building relationships with our locals.

- Overseeing operations across the bar, bistro, gaming, TAB and retail areas, depending on the venue.

- Maintaining high standards of venue presentation, safety and compliance.

- Managing cash handling, end-of-shift reconciliation and reporting.

- Supporting stock control, labour management and venue performance.

- Helping bring promotions, functions and community events to life.





- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues calmly and professionally.

About you

You enjoy hospitality, take pride in your work and understand that a excellent pub starts with the people behind the bar.

You’ll bring

- Experience in a pub, hotel, club or similar licensed hospitality venue.

- Leadership or supervisory experience, with the confidence to guide a team.

- A friendly personality, strong work ethic and willingness to get involved.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.

- A commitment to great customer service and responsible venue operations.

- Current NSW RSA and RCG competency cards.

- Availability to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Previous management experience is valued, and we also welcome applications from capable supervisors ready for their next challenge.
