About the role

Brisbane Isuzu is seeking a full-time Associate Accountant to join our Finance team based in Eagle Farm, QLD 4009. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting career within a dynamic and growing automotive dealership. As an Associate Accountant, you will provide essential support to our accounting operations, contributing to the financial accuracy and efficiency of the business.

This role offers valuable hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions and will be instrumental in supporting the broader financial objectives of Brisbane Isuzu.

What you'll be doing

- Processing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

- Assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts

- Supporting the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close procedures

- Preparing and processing invoices, purchase orders and expense reports

- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation

- Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management tasks

- Performing data entry and verification of financial transactions

- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision

- Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers regarding financial matters

What we're looking for

- A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or relevant professional accounting qualification

- Demonstrated experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, ideally within a retail or automotive environment

- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices





- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and reliable approach to work with a commitment to meeting deadlines

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

- Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and skills
