About the role The position will primarily involve lawn mowing using a standard push mower, whipper snipping and edging, basic garden and yard maintenance, general garden tidy-ups, green waste and basic clean-up following services, travelling between scheduled client properties, maintaining equipment and reporting any maintenance or safety issues, and providing friendly and respectful service to clients. The role will generally operate as a single-worker service, with jobs scheduled according to client demand. Hours will vary depending on bookings and may provide flexibility around other work, study or commitments.

Junee Community

Centre will provide the required gardening equipment and access to an organisational vehicle for scheduled services where applicable.

- Providing friendly and respectful service to clients

About you

- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

- Experience or confidence with lawn mowing and basic garden maintenance

- Comfortable completing physical outdoor work

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Can work respectfully around older people, people with disability and other community members

- Holds a current Australian driver's licence

- Understands the importance of workplace safety and safe equipment use

- Skilled gardening experience is not essential. Practical experience maintaining lawns and gardens at home or elsewhere may be sufficient for the right applicant.

- The successful applicant will need to meet relevant pre-employment screening requirements associated with working within community services, NDIS check etc.
