Title: Senior CIAM Engineer – Client Identity

Location: Sydney (Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Duration: 2-Year FTC

Join a brand-new identity squad at one of Australia’s most important payments organisations. They’re consolidating client-facing portals onto Microsoft Entra External ID, and you’ll be one of the engineers building it.

The opportunity:

My client is standing up a new Client Identity squad to modernise how their B2B clients and client systems authenticate. The work means migrating customer portals, web apps and APIs off legacy identity providers and onto a single, modern CIAM platform.

This is a greenfield team with a transparent mission and real technical depth. It’s hands-on engineering, not BAU access administration.

What you’ll bring:





- 5+ years in identity and access management, with a strong CIAM / customer identity focus
- Hands-on Microsoft Entra ID experience, with Entra External ID or Azure AD B2C strongly preferred
- Proven experience migrating applications from legacy identity platforms to modern IdPs
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or similar, plus REST API / Microsoft Graph automation
- A solid grasp of modern auth protocols and API security
- The ability to troubleshoot complex identity issues across apps, tokens, federation and certificates
