About the role

Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, you will be involved in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure and urban development projects across the residential, commercial, industrial and transport sectors. This is an opportunity to take ownership of engineering design tasks, develop practical solutions and build your technical and project delivery experience within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake civil engineering design for urban development and infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater drainage and associated civil works.

- Prepare engineering calculations, designs, drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD, 12D and/or Civil 3D.

- Prepare DRAINS and MUSIC models for stormwater infrastructure projects.

- Develop practical design solutions that comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, guidelines and project requirements.

- Prepare and review design documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company quality assurance procedures.

- Coordinate with engineers, designers and other consultants to resolve technical and design issues.

- Prepare technical reports, project correspondence and supporting documentation.

- Attend site inspections and prepare inspection reports.

- Liaise with project managers regarding design progress, deliverables and project timelines.





- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.

About you

- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.

- A minimum of 3 years' relevant civil engineering experience, preferably within an Australian engineering consultancy.

- Experience in civil infrastructure and urban development design, particularly roads, stormwater drainage and associated civil works.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 12D and/or Civil 3D.

- Proficiency in DRAINS and MUSIC modelling.

- A sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards, design codes and local authority requirements.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.

- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and external consultants.

- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.

- A proactive attitude and a willingness to continue developing your technical and professional skills.
