Are you a commercially driven energy professional who enjoys originating opportunities, structuring deals and leading negotiations through to execution? I'm partnering with an established IPP, backed by a leading global infrastructure investor, to appoint a Commercial Manager specialising in PPA origination, structured offtake products and electricity markets.

With a substantial operating portfolio and a multi-GW development pipeline, this role offers the opportunity to lead significant commercial transactions across a diverse renewable energy portfolio.

Work across wind, solar, standalone BESS and hybrid projects in the NEM, covering recent developments alongside contracting and recontracting operating assets. The role spans traditional PPAs, firmed and shaped products, hybrid offtake arrangements and storage tolling.

Influence | Commercial decisions that matter

Work directly with senior leadership and an experienced commercial team, challenging pricing and risk assumptions and shaping offtake strategies that support project financing and portfolio value.

The Opportunity

- Originate new PPA and offtake opportunities, building relationships with corporate buyers, retailers, gentailers and other market participants.
- Develop and execute offtake strategies for development projects and operating assets,



including counterparty engagement and go-to-market plans.
- Lead commercial negotiations from initial engagement and term sheets through to execution of binding agreements.
- Structure and evaluate traditional PPAs, firmed and shaped supply, hybrid offtake arrangements and storage tolling.
- Secure bankable offtake agreements that support project financial close, while identifying recontracting opportunities across operating assets.
- Assess wholesale market dynamics, pricing structures and commercial risks, including price, volume, shape, basis, firming and credit exposure.
- Work closely with Development, Corporate Finance, Operations and Legal, challenging financial model assumptions and providing recommendations to support investment decisions.

What you'll bring

- Significant experience in PPA origination, structured energy products or wholesale markets, ideally within a generator, retailer, gentailer, developer or advisory business.
- A demonstrated track record of originating, negotiating and closing PPAs or other energy offtake agreements.
- Strong NEM experience, including wholesale electricity pricing, dispatch, settlement and hedging.
- Experience engaging with corporate energy buyers, retailers, gentailers and other commercial counterparties.
- Strong commercial and financial capability, including evaluating transaction economics, pricing, risk and financial model assumptions.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, leading negotiations and closing deals, with the confidence to make commercial decisions independently.

Experience with BESS offtake and storage products would be highly regarded, although candidates with strong experience in complex PPAs and other structured energy products are equally encouraged to apply.
